The Haryana Labour Welfare Fund (LWF) is a crucial initiative by the Haryana government aimed at improving the lives of workers and laborers in the state. Established under the Haryana Labour Welfare Act, the fund is financed through contributions from both employers and employees. The collected funds are utilized for various welfare schemes and activities designed to uplift the socio-economic conditions of the working class. The Haryana state follows the Punjab Labour Welfare Fund Rules.

Applicability
  • The fund applies to establishments employing 10 or more individuals.
Contribution
  • Employees contribute 0.2% of their salary or wages, up to a maximum of Rs. 31 per month.
  • Employers contribute double the amount contributed by employees, up to a maximum of Rs. 62 per month.
Frequency of Contribution
  • Both employers and employees contribute to the fund on a monthly basis.
Returns
  • Last day of the month (Also being accepted Quarterly / Half Yearly / Yearly).
Utilization of Funds
  • Funds are utilized for various welfare activities like medical aid, disability benefits, death benefits, scholarships, construction of workers’ colonies, vocational training, recreational facilities and more.
