Uttarakhand Government Offices and Banks Holidays List 2025

The General Administration Department, Uttarakhand has announced the holidays list 2025 for Government Offices and Banks in the state. Check below for complete details.

Uttarakhand Government Offices Public Holidays List 2025

The holidays mentioned below in Annexure-1 are declared Public Holidays in the entire Uttarakhand state for the year 2025.

Annexure-1

The government offices like the Secretariat and Legislative Assembly that normally work 5 days a week will not observe the regular public holidays listed in Annexure-2. Instead, those public holidays will be treated as restricted holidays for these offices. Employees can take those holidays to the extent allowed as per the applicable restrictions and policies.

Mr. Governor also declares the holidays specified in the following schedule as public holidays in the entire state of Uttarakhand in the year 2025.

Annexure-2

Note:

• The festivals marked with an asterisk (*) will be celebrated as per the local moon sighting. If there is a change in the date of any festival based on the moon sighting, then the date will be automatically changed accordingly. No separate formal order will be required for the related leave in such cases. It will automatically be treated as an approved order.

• The public holidays declared in Annexure-1 will not be applicable to Banks, Treasuries, and Sub Treasuries.

Uttarakhand Government Offices Restricted Holidays List 2025

Each government employee shall be eligible to avail a maximum of 2 (Two) Restricted Holidays mentioned below in Annexure-3 as per his/her wish.

Uttarakhand Banks Public Holidays List 2025

The holidays mentioned in Annexure-4 below will be treated as public holidays for the Banks / Treasuries / Sub Treasuries for the Year 2025.
