Applicability | - Factories: Established under the Factories Act, 1948, employing one or more persons.
- Establishments: Registered under the West Bengal Shops and Establishments Act, 1963, employing ten or more employees.

Contribution | - Employee : A sum of Rs. 3.00 per employee every six months.
- Employer : A sum of Rs. 15.00 per employee every six months.

Frequency of Contribution | - 30th June and 31st December of each year.

Returns | - Returns are filed half-yearly on 15th July and 15th January.

Utilization of Funds | - Funds are utilized for various welfare activities like medical aid, scholarships, housing facilities, recreational facilities, computer training, vocational training, and more.
