Using the Calculator

Viewing the Results

Once you click the “Calculate Hours” button, the results will be displayed in the section below the input fields:

  • Start Time: The start time you entered, displayed in 12-hour format (e.g., 9:00 AM, 1:30 PM).
  • End Time: The end time you entered, displayed in 12-hour format (e.g., 5:30 PM, 10:45 PM).
  • Total Duration: The total duration between the start and end times, displayed in hours and minutes (e.g., 8 hours and 30 minutes).
  • Total Minutes: The total duration between the start and end times, displayed in minutes.

Tips and Notes

  • If the end time is earlier than the start time (e.g., start at 5 PM, end at 9 AM), the calculator will assume the time span is over multiple days and adjust the results accordingly.
  • The calculator will automatically format the start and end times in 12-hour format (e.g., 9:00 AM, 5:30 PM) for better readability.
  • The “Total Duration” and “Total Minutes” values are displayed with a green highlight to make them more prominent.
